European seafarers visited Özata Shipyard
The European Sector Representatives who came to Istanbul for the Ordinary General Assembly of European Ships and Maritime Equipment Association (SEA Europe) held by Turkish Association of Ship Industrialists (GESAD) visited Özata Shipyard.
The European Sector Representatives who came to Istanbul for the Ordinary General Assembly of European Ships and Maritime Equipment Association (SEA Europe) visited Özata Shipyard within the framework of the activity.
The European Sector Representatives started their Shipyard visits within the framework of the Ordinary General Assembly of SEA Europe that will provide critical cooperation opportunities for eliminating the negative effects of the crises, as well as boosting the maritime sector.
Visiting Sedef Shipyard in Tuzla first, the maritime giants of Europe visited Özata Shipyard located at Yalova, Altınova. Serkan Çalbaş, General Coordinator of Özata Shipyard, gave a short presentation about Özata Shipyard for the European Seafarers.
Following the presentation and the speeches, the SEA EUROPE members had a tour of Özata Shipyard, having the opportunity to witness especially the building process of the carbon composite ferry step by step starting from the composite factory to installation hangars and the completed form at the pier. During their tour, the members of SEA EUROPE stated that they did not expect to see the use of such cutting edge technology in a Turkish shipyard and conveyed their success wishes.
The members of SEA EUROPE had a dinner at the Bosporus on a tour boat and evaluated their shipyard visits.
